全世界的な文法は存在する？

言語を学ぶとき、その文法も勉強する。 母国語を学ぶ子どもにおいては、それは自動的に起こる。 彼らは脳が多くの規則を学んでいると気づかない。 それにもかかわらず、彼らは母国語を最初から正しく学ぶ。 多くの言語が存在すれば、文法も多く存在する。 しかし全世界的な文法は存在するのだろうか？ この疑問には、長らく学者たちが取り組んでいる。 新たな研究がそれに対してひとつの答えを見出している。 脳科学者たちは、ある興味深い発見をしたのである。 彼らは被験者に文法の規則を学ばせた。 これらの被験者は語学学校生だった。 彼らは日本語かイタリア語を学んだ。 半分の文法規則は、勝手に考えだされた。 被験者はしかしそのことを知らなかった。 学習したあと、彼らは文を発表した。 被験者たちは、その文が正しいかどうか判断しなければならなかった。 彼らが課題を解いている間、脳が分析された。 研究者たちは脳の活動を測ったのである。 そうして彼らは、どのように脳が文章に反応するかをテストすることができた。 そして、脳は文法を認識しているかのようだった！ 言語の処理の際、特定の脳の部分がアクティブになっている。 それにはブローカ野も属している。 ブローカ野は左の大脳の中にある。 生徒たちが本当の規則を処理すると、ブローカ野がアクティブになった。 それに対して、勝手に考えられた規則のときには、活動は明らかに減った。 つまり、すべての文法は同じベースをもっているということだ。 それらはすべて、同じ原則にもとづいている。 そしてこの原則は我々にとって、生まれついてのものだ･･･。
