Há cada vez mais pessoas a aprenderem línguas estrangeiras. E há cada vez mais gente que recorre à Internet para o fazer. A aprendizagem no regime de e-learning é diferente da típica aula de língua. E apresenta muitas vantagens! Os usuários decidem quando é que pretendem estudar. Também podem escolher o que desejam aprender. E determinam quanto é que desejam aprender por dia. Através do e-learning , o utilizador deve aprender de uma forma intuitiva. Isto é, eles devem aprender a nova língua de um modo completamente natural. Como se fossem crianças ou tivessem aprendido essa língua durante as férias. Para isso, os usuários aprendem através das situações de aprendizagem simuladas. Experienciam diversas coisas em diversos lugares. Eles têm que se tornar ativos. Para alguns programas são necessários uns fones e um microfone. Assim, pode-se falar com os falantes nativos. Também é possível analisar a sua pronúncia. Deste modo, pode-se progredir continuamente. Nos chats pode-se trocar informações com os outros usuários. Além disso, a Internet oferece a possibilidade de aprender enquanto andas de um lado para o outro. Com as novas tecnologias digitais podemos aprender línguas onde quer que estejamos. O ensino através do e-learning não é pior do que o ensino tradicional. Se os programas forem bons, poderão ser muito eficientes. No entanto, é importante que as aulas "online" não sejam demasiado vivas. Demasiadas animações podem desviar a atenção da matéria. O cérebro tem que processar cada impulso particular. Assim a memória pode ficar rapidamente sobrecarregada. Às vezes, é melhor estudar em silêncio com um livro. Quem combinar os métodos clássicos com os mais recentes, fará certamente progressos...
