并非我们每个人都曾去过非洲。 但是任何一种语言都可能曾经到过非洲！ 至少许多科学家们相信如此。 他们认为所有的语言都起源于非洲， 然后从非洲传播到整个世界。 总共有超过六千多种的不同语言， 都应该具有共同的非洲源头。 科研人员将不同语言之间的音素做了比较。 音素是决定语义的最小语音组成部分。 当一个音素变化时，一个单词的语义也随之变化。 举一个英语中的例子来说明能更加明白。 在英语里‘dip’和‘tip’表示为两种不同的东西。 所以英语里的/d/ 和 /t/就是两个不同的音素。 而非洲语言里的语音多样性却是最大的。 语音的多样性随着与非洲地理距离的疏远而明显减少。 而这正是研究者对自身所持理论的论据所在。 因为族群的扩张，让人类越来越趋于同质化。 在最外围边缘，基因多样性则随之减少。 这是因为外围移民者的数量也会减少。 当基因越少向外迁移，一个族群的同质性就会更高。 基因组合的多样性也会更少。 因此一个移民族群里的成员彼此之间都很相似。 科学家们将之命名为奠基者效应。 当人们离开非洲时，也将他们的语言随身带走。 移民者越少，被随身带走的音素同样也会越少。 所以各语言随着时间的流逝而变得更加一致化。 这似乎也证实了古代智人起源于非洲。 我们迫切地期待，非洲古智人的语言是否同样如此…
