Kiam ni lernas fremdajn lingvojn, ni stimulas nian cerbon. Nia penso modifiĝas per nia lerno. Ni iĝas pli kreemaj kaj pli fleksiĝemaj. Por la plurlingvuloj pli facilas ankaŭ pli komplekse pensi. Oni lernante trejnas la memoron. Ju pli ni lernas, des pli bone tio funkcias. Kiu multajn lingvojn lernis, tiu ankaŭ aliajn aferojn pli rapide lernas. Li pli longe koncentrite povas cerbumi pri temo. Tial li pli rapide solvas problemojn. La plurlingvuloj povas ankaŭ pli bone decidiĝi. Sed kiel ili decidiĝas ankaŭ dependas de la lingvoj. La lingvo per kiu ni pensas influas niajn decidojn. Psiĥologoj pristudis plurajn subjektojn esplorcele. Ĉiuj subjektoj estis dulingvaj. Krom sian gepatran lingvon ili ankaŭ parolis alian lingvon. La subjektoj devis prirespondi demandon. La demando temis pri la solvo de problemo. La subjektoj devis elekti inter du opcioj. Unu opcio estis konsiderinde pli riska ol la alia. La subjektoj devis prirespondi la demandon ambaŭlingve. Kaj la respondoj ŝanĝiĝis kiam la lingvoj ŝanĝiĝis! Parolante sian gepatran lingvon, la subjektoj elektis la riskon. Sed en la fremda lingvo ili decidiĝis por la sekura opcio. Post tiu eksperimento la subjektoj ankaŭ devis veti. Ankaŭ tiuokaze montriĝis klara diferenco. Uzante la fremdan lingvon ili estis pli prudentaj. La esploristoj supozas ke ni fremdlingve pli koncentritas. Ni tial ne emocie sed racie faras decidojn...
